Rest Daddy Terms of Use

These terms are an agreement between you and The Free Radicals ("we", "us") about using Rest Daddy ("the app"). By using the app you agree to them.

What the app is

Rest Daddy is a personal tool that helps you keep track of your hours, paid rest, time off, stipends and pay, so you can check them against your pay stubs. It works out results from the information you enter and the rest tables you choose.

What the app is not

• Not payroll, legal, tax or financial advice. Your pay and your rest are decided by your employer, your contract and your union agreement, not by the app. Always check results against those documents and your pay stub.
• Not an official record. Rest Daddy's pay stub, totals and reports are your own estimates. They are not your employer's records.
• Not a tax document. The no tax on overtime estimate and its report are made only from the hours you entered and are only as accurate as what you entered. They are not tax documents and cannot be used for legal or tax purposes. Use your W-2 from your employer, and talk to a tax professional before you file.
• No guarantee of accuracy. We work hard to get the math right, but results depend on what you enter, on the rest table you use, and on rules that differ between companies. Mistakes are possible. If the app and your contract disagree, your contract wins.
• Rest tables. Tables you build, import or receive by share code are your responsibility to check. Any built-in table is provided as a convenience, "as is", and may not match the version that applies to you.

Your account

The app works without an account. If you sign in for automatic backup, keep access to your email address safe, because sign-in codes are sent there. You can sign out or delete your account at any time in the app. We may suspend an account that is used to break these terms or the law.

Your information

See the Privacy Policy for what happens to your information. You are responsible for keeping your phone and any files you export safe.

Using the app

We give you a personal, non-transferable right to use the app on devices you own or control. Please don't copy, resell or reverse-engineer the app, try to get into other people's accounts or our systems, or use the app to break any law.

Premium

• Some features are part of Premium. What's included and the price are shown in the app before you buy.
• Payments, renewals, cancellations and refunds are handled by the App Store or Google Play under their terms. You can cancel any time in your phone's subscription settings.
• Launch offer: people who get the app in its first month after launch get Premium free from launch day through three months after launch. When that ends, they keep the Exhibit A rest table and the pay stub for free.
• We never take away a rest table you already have.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, the app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for any lost pay, lost rest, tax outcome, or other indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the app. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

Changes

We may update these terms. If we do, we'll change the effective date and, for important changes, tell you in the app.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Pennsylvania, United States.
